A Golden Retriever Named Angus

Last week my colleague brought his golden retriever named Angus to our office for the day.  Everyone in the office immediately fell in love.  Angus is one of the most mild mannered dogs I’ve ever seen, he is very happy, has so much expression in his face and the colour of his fur is a beautiful shade of gold.  I just knew I had to photograph this dog and tell his story.

Angus is a rescue dog.  He was originally with a family who had bought him for their son.  But when the son left for school the parents didn’t know what to do with Angus and mostly kept him in his crate.  This caused Angus to act out, dig etc whenever he was let out of the crate.  As you can guess this caused trouble for the owners and they put him back in the crate.  It got to the point where Angus was becoming very unhealthy from the lack of exercise and began having teeth problems etc.  I am happy to report that my colleague rescued him and Angus is back to full health!

So this weekend my colleague and Angus met me at Queen’s Park for some photos.  Most of the leaves had fallen and Angus loved to sniff around through them and get them stuck to his tongue and teeth.  He found a pretty cool stick for chewing and also enjoyed chasing  his tennis ball or his owner all through the park.  It was a really fun afternoon!  Here are some of the shots:
