Relish & 567vfx Art Show 2009

It’s been a few years since I last participated in an art show, but I had a lot of fun with this one.  It all began a few weeks ago when a friend showed Carrie Jeffels my photography.  She liked it enough to contact me to collaborate on a piece together.  She had presented art in the previous Relish art shows and was planning to do so again this year.  I took a look at her artwork and really liked her style.   We didn’t have much time, so we decided if we came up with something we liked then we’d submit it, if not then she would submit some of her other work.

I had a lot of fun collaborating with Carrie.  She had great ideas and was really easy to communicate with.  I loved bouncing ideas off her and I’m very happy with the results.  We ended up with three pieces to submit to the show.  They all have a common theme and can be together as a set, or are each strong enough to stand out on their own.

Here are some pictures from the art show last night:

Below, a photo of the artists, Carrie and I.

Yellow sticker means we sold this one!  Proceeds go to Rethink Breast Cancer.

The art show was packed and there were lots of great pieces. I wasn’t able to snap picts of all my faves, but here are a few I loved.

Gail Paik created these beautiful and fun wood burnt images.  They sold like hot cakes.  I would have loved to have bought one.

Shiv Harrilal created this beautiful piece.

Thanks to Relish & 567vfx for hosting such a great party!
