Waiting for Phillip Island tour

Oct 16th Part2

Waiting for Phillip Island tour.

I’m sitting on a bench outside of Melbourne Town Hall waiting for the tour bus to Phillip Island.  I’ve bought a touque & gloves, I have my lulu zipup, my raincoat/windbreaker and my travl towel in hopes that it will all keep me warm tonight.  It’s pretty chilly here in the morning and nights.  It’s especialy cold near the water.  There is a chill in the air and the shade gets cold quickly.

This morning is not so bad.  I actually slept well last night and the other girls didn’t disturb me.  I had a small but free breakfast.  Then I wrote a lenghty email to Matt and had the internet crash while trying to send it, so I didn’t retype it. (sorry Matt)  I returned to my room to pack for today’s trip and all the girls were awake and out of the room except for one.  Her name is Sung and she’s a 23 year old from New Zealand.  (Happy 24th Birthday to her next month!)  She has been here fr 6 days and is in Melbourne until the end of next week.  She’s finding the city as unpleasant as I have so far.  Melbourne is the kind of city where you can see all the “sights” in a day or two.  So she was lookin’ pretty bored.  She’ offered to go sightseeing with me tomorrow morning while I try to see the entire downtown core before my afternoon flight.  It’s nice to have met someone interesting, so I’m looking forword to tomorrow.
