Pencil Crayon Fun

Earlier this week I tried photographing a pencil crayon at the exact moment that its sharp tip breaks on the page.  I wanted to capture the shards of crayon colour flying in the air during that brief explosion from the pressure applied to the pencil.  It took me a number of tries with different coloured pencil crayons before I got it just right, and I love the rainbow of crayon debris that collected on the paper as a result.
