Doom [A movie based off the very popular computer game…]

Due to the growing popularity of movies that are based on video games, computer games and comics, the computer game Doom was just made into a feature film.

I have to say I was quite optimistic about the movie Doom because the trailers had a preview of a “game look” that would be incorporated into the movie. This is a new and unique style to the movies based on video games. It hadn’t been done before.

I wasn’t looking forward to the acting as the cast seemed pretty weak. It included the Rock and Karl Urban from Riddick.

My thoughts on the film…The acting was terrible, the action scenes were weak, the gore wasn’t gross and the story wasn’t like the game at all.

The trailer is the best part of that movie. It shows all the cool stuff, including the game mode, and it makes it look like it took place on Mars and that they were fighting Demons from Hell. Which is the main story line from the original games.

Don’t waste your time with the movie. If you are going to then don’t read anymore of this article, it will spoil it.

Basically the movie opens liek the starting scene from the mvoie Resident Evil 2. Where there is a blurred scene of chaos and scientist running away from something chasing them. Surprise surprise both movies were made by Screen Gems Inc. Actually the whole story behind Doom turned out to be liek a bad version of Resident Evil. The creatures/demons came from humans that were mutated instead of coming from hell liek they were supposed to. They tried to mention it a few times in the movie but it conflicted with what was actually happening on screen.

I could ramble on about how bad this movie was and how poorly they did on representing the very cool game it was based on. But who has the time?

Basically all I am saying DON”T WASTE YOUR TIME with this poor excuse for an attempt at makign what should have been an amazing movie.

gah!!
