Do It Yourself – Couple Photography Test
This weekend my fiance and I went for a walk at one of our favourite parks to see how far along the fall transition was coming. Our hopes were to have engagement photos taken there by our wedding photographer in early November. But this year the fall transition is happening a little earlier than we thought and the park was in perfect transition this weekend. Lucky for me I brought my camera and decided to take some pictures of ourselves in the park.
I purposefully over exposed the pictures to try to mimic the bright, blown out, ethereal look that is so popular right now. It’s very different from my usual photographic look and was my first time trying it. The second picture is the closest to the look that I was going for & overall I like the park path ones the best, although they are a little grainy. Too much detail was lost in the pictures at the lake. But it was a fun experiment.
All pictures were taken by me using the self timer on my camera set to either 20 seconds or 10 seconds. I’ve decided that it’s a lot more fun to be the photographer and stay behind the lens instead of trying to run & pose in front of it.
