In Your Space – Gareth Lewis

One evening a friend of mine mentioned to me that he had recently seen his friend Gareth’s loft and thought it was a really cool space. He started to tell me about a very interesting decor. He described items like a wooden deer head, a Wizard of Oz novel that was made into a poster and a book of monkey portraits. As he described the loft to me I couldn’t help but think that it sounded like a place I needed to photograph. So he got me in touch with Gareth and I’ve got to say, his description of the place did not disappoint.

One of my favourite items in the loft were these super cute, white bird salt & pepper shakers. I asked Gareth about them:

“The salt and pepper shakers are from West Elm. I chose the birds because I generally like animals, and throughout the house I’ve tried to bring the outside in. Condos are so sterile and modern and I love the outdoors, so I tried to bring a bit of it inside.” – Gareth Lewis
