Brisbane BBQ

This morning we got up pretty early and went driving around to see some Kangaroos in the wild.  I had already seen some Wallablies but those are really small sized Roos.  Chantelle knew of this place near a mental hospital and a medium security correctional facility that she had gone to to take photos at in the past.  We saw a few full sized Kangaroos hanging out at the golf course down the road from those places.  Brisbane is interesting.

Then we went to the shopping mall, that had a Woolworths grocery store as well as some independant bakers, butchers and fruit stands.  It was a cool place and the perfect spot for us to pick up what Chantelle and Reid needed for the BBQ today.

We went back to their apartment and hung out for few hours until we went over to the park to meet up with their friends.  The park was really nice.  It was called New Farm Park.  It was a really nice day, the sun was out and there was a cool breeze coming from the river.  Their friends were a lot of fun and it felt like I was hanging out with the crew at home.  Chantelle cooked us some great food and she can make some awesome guaquamolie.  It was a great chilled out (non-touristy) day.
